Before creating my final horror film opening i was unable to take various shots and understand any shot types. So that we could develop our skills we practised shooting mini prelim tasks to get us used to holding the camera. We had a chance to figure out how to hold the camera correctly, what the buttons meant and also how to film with a tripod. In one of my tasks i created a short film which included various shot types. One shot was a long shot, this is when the full length of the actors body is on screen. This showed the audience what the characters where wearing as well as their personality. We also used this shot in our horror film to have the same effect. Another shot we used was a match on action, to show a person entering a door and coming out on the other side. We included this in our horror film to show the location which was a church. The match on action shot allowed the audience to see the dark gloomy environment of the church and how fast she walked through the door. A close up was included in both prelim task and horror film to show the characters facial expressions, so that the audience are aware of what they are going through at that particular moment. The use of a close up, adds to the scary effect that the character is constantly being watched, that she is always unsafe. An over the shoulder shot was used to show two people conversating somehow. Within my horror film the ghostly figure was seated behind the main character. This scene is similar to my prelim task scene, because it shows two people in the same place at the same time. Even though this shot had the same effect on the audience as the prelim, my partner and I changed the scene slightly because the genre was different. Instead of the main female character having a real converstion with this ghostly figure, the 'ghost' was having a converstion with her. This conversation was not a pleasing one, it was a taumenting, disturbing and horric one. Overall, taking part in the mini prelim tasks helped me improve on certain areas. It prepared us for the actual making of my horror film.

Evaluation Question 6
Photoshop:
The Photoshop website allowed me to create my production company logo. I edited it to get it perfect for my horror film. This website allowed me to learn new skills and techniques. I was able to change the colour, fonts, size or even shape of my image.
Premiere Pro:
This was most important because it is where i put my actual horror film together. I added different sounds, images, transitions and other special effects to make my film more scary. This was the first time using Premiere Pro and i learnt new skills such as how to cut a scene and how to change the lighting effects to make it easier to see. This technology helped me to produce the final horror film opening.
Survey Monkey:
The Survey Monkey helped to get to know my target audience better. I used this website to create a questionnaire for people to answer, so that i had a rough idea on what sort of things they liked. It made me aware of what things i needed to include in my horror film aswell as take out to get the biggest audience as possible.
Blog Spot:
This website is another one of the most important ones needed when creating a film. I created my own blog so that i could post my recent updates and information about my film. The blogger allows you to keep track of time and organise things better. As well as being able to see your own plan clearly you get an insite on what other peoples blogs look like and their recent updates also.
YouTube:
I went on this website in search of scary sound effect to make my film even better. On YouTube you are able to access any films you want. I looked up various horror films to get certain ideas of what to include in my film opening. This website was also important because you are able to see how many views a certain video got, which indicates how popular that particular film was.
Voice recorder:
This piece of technology allowed my partner and i to better the sound effects and to make them louder. The microphone voice recorder was used so that we could had extra scary noises in the background of our film.
iTunes:
Within my film there was a particular scene which needed music added to the background. Myself and partner went on Copyright free music and searched church music and downloaded it. After going on copyright free sound i choose the best sound suitable for my horror film. I then downloaded the special sound and then saved it in iTunes. This website is where idownloaded my music and special sounds from after making sure it was copyright free.
Facebook:
This interactive website helped me advertise my quick created for my target audience. I was able to get more people to answer my questions and asked my friends what films they liked. Facebook is a website where you can see recent updates and the things people like; this benefited me when created my film.
Prezi:
Prezi was one of the first website i used to help me put all my ideas about a typical horror film down. It was a fast way of planning and it was much easier when you got used to it.
Video camera:
This piece of technology was the most important one bcame without it we would have never been able to create a horror film at all. The camera was dificult to use at first but after a while we got used to the different buttons.
Royalty free:
This website was very helpful when finding sound effects that we found difficult making ourselves. This website allowed us to download any sound effect we needed.

Evaluation Question 5
Below is the commentary of my horror film Espiridion, myself and partner are discussing how our opening would attract our specific target audience?
Within this commentary we discussed what we needed to improve and what we had success in. Our horror film included various techniques to reach out to a specific target audience. We created out films for young people, who were entertained by horrific scenes and terrifying characers. Aswell as our films appealing to an audience that enjoyed horrors, myself and partner wanted to reach out to people who disliked them also. We wanted our horror film 'Espiridion' to entertain everyone.

Evaluation Question 3

My horror film Espiridion is a low budget British film.
Pathé UK has a major presence within the UK film industry, in production, development, international sales and distribution. Pathe is a British distribution company, which distributes low budget films like mine. Pathé UK's productions range from Aardman's "Chicken Run" to Stephen Frears' "The Queen" to Danny Boyle's" Slum dog Millionaire". The film slum dog millionaire which was a low budget film won eight Oscars and fifty-seven nominees. They have previously distributed the film 'Adulthood' which
was also a low budget British film. Adulthood had 157 screens showing the movie in the opening weekend.
Therefore Pathe would be a good distributor for my film because i would have a large range of audience watching my film.
Pathe productions distributes films in cinemas such as cineworld, Vue and Oden. I would like my film to be distributed in cineworld because it is the second largest multiplex cinema chain in the UK. Therefore I would have a range of audience viewing my film. I also believe that Enspiridion would also be suited in the Vue cinema because it can be considered as an international film even though it is a British film. This is because even though it is set in Britain it is also set in a church which can be found in any country.
See Saw films is an independent film production company. They have distributed films such as The Kings Speech by Tom Hooper, which won 4 oscars and 98 nominees. In 2011 The King's Speech collected four Academy Awards including Best Picture and to date has won the Audience Prize at Toronto Film Festival 2010, a British Independent Film Award for Best British Film and the BAFTA awards for Best Film and Outstanding British Film. This kind of media institution would be one of the best to distribute my film because of their reputation for previous films. See-Saw Films has a first-look deal with Momentum Pictures in the UK. See-Saw also works closely with sister company Transmission Films, an Australian/New Zealand distributor. This may benefit my media product because See Saw work together with many other media institutions. SeeSaw Films has a co-development deal with Buckland Films in which Buckland Films works with See-Saw to co-finance the development of See-Saw's slate. I would also want them to distribute my film because they also target at a range of people.
